AWARD-WINNING indigenous author, and Fremantle local, Kim Scott will get up close and personal with his fans at the Fremantle City Library on Wednesday September 2.
Besides sharing challenges he’s faced as an indigenous West Australian author on his journey to reaching the pinnacle of writing, he’ll speak candidly about collaborating with aboriginal elder and accomplished author Hazel Brown on their novel Kayang and Me.
This event coincides with Indigenous Literacy Day which is the major fundraising event for The Indigenous Literacy Project. The project raises funds to supply culturally appropriate materials to remote communities through the Fred Hollows Foundation and donations will be accepted on the day. The event is jointly funded by WritingWA and the City of Fremantle.
Wednesday September 2nd, 6pm
