Kevin Gillam – Kevin Gillam has had poems published in The Best Australian Poems 2006, The Best Australian Poems 2008 as well as The Best Australian Poetry 2006. His work has been broadcast on ABC Radio Poetica and he was the program’s featured poet in 2007. Kevin is currently employed as Director of Music at Christchurch Grammar School and works as a freelance cellist and orchestral conductor.
Annamaria Weldon – Annamaria has just been shortlisted for the Peter Porter Poetry Prize 2012. She won The Nature Conservancy Australia’s inaugural prize for nature writing(2011)and The Tom Collins Poetry Prize (2010). All these works are based on her landscape journal of Yalgorup Wetlands, where she held a writing residency from 2009 to 2011 with Adaptation, the eco-art project hosted by Symbiotica (UWA). Weldon’s two poetry collections are Ropes of Sand (Associated Press Malta, 1983) and The Roof Milkers (Sunline Press, 2008). She lives near Fremantle.
Rose Van Son -‘Rose van Son’s collection of poetry Sandfire has recently been published by Sunline Press (January 2012). Her poetry and prose appears in many journals including Cordite, Westerly, Blood Orange Review, Creatrix and the Third Australian Haiku Anthology. Rose loves language and culture and its connections with history and place. She has won several writing prizes and reads at many cafes and venues around Perth.
Janet Jackson – Janet writes poems, songs and prose, performs poetry and music, teaches poetry and creative writing, and coordinates the Perth Poetry Club. Janet’s publications include ‘Coracle’ (2009), and ‘q finger’ (PressPress 2011), and has a micro-collection in Fremantle Press’s forthcoming volume ‘Performance Poets’.
