Come along and share the pleasures of reading, with writer and book-lover Amanda Curtin. You’re invited to bring along a favourite book and convince us why we should read it!

Note: the talk by Amanda will be followed by a quick get together of people who would like to join a new book clubto decide times and day of week and the first couple of titles for their meetings.



Amanda Curtin is a writer, book editor and lecturer. Her first novel, The Sinkings (2008), and a short story collection, Inherited (2011), have received critical acclaim. Her second novel, Elemental, is forthcoming from UWA Publishing in May 2013. She has been granted writing residencies in Australia, Scotland, Ireland and the United States, and the rest of the time resides in an old house in an old Perth suburb.
