Christmas Baby Rhyme Time

Untitled design

Wow can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? We have just begun to add a few Christmas rhymes to this terms rhymes and songs collection. A few of these fun rhymes we’ve used so far are below. We hope to see you all in on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30am for the next few weeks to farewell this year with some fun Christmas Rhymes. We finish up our term in time for the holidays with the last sessions being Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th of December.

Here is the chimney
(FINGER/ACTION RHYME)

Here is the chimney
(Make fist enclose thumb)
Here is the top
(Palm of hand on top of fist)
Open the lid
(Remove hand quickly)
And out Santa will pop!
(Pop up thumb)

Christmas tickle (TICKLE RHYME)

I took a lick of my peppermint stick
And it was very yummy.
It used to be on my Christmas tree
And now it’s in my tummy!

Twinkle, twinkle Christmas star, (Christmas version of an old favourite)

Twinkle, twinkle Christmas star,
Way up high is where you are.
Shining bright for all to see,
On the tip top of the tree.
Twinkle, twinkle Christmas star,
Way up high is where you are.

Mix and stir and pat the pan
(Fun rhyme)

Mix and stir and pat the pan,
I’m going to make a gingerbread man.
With a nose so neat
And a smile so sweet
And gingerbread shoes
On his gingerbread feet.
