Great Men by Great Boys is an oral history touring exhibition increasing understanding between generations of men and boys, curated by the Museum of Moving Objects (MOMO).
The Great Men by Great Boys project involved Year 9 students from CBC Fremantle visiting elderly residents at the Aegis Hilton Park care home. The boys were able to form relationships and document the history and memories of these local elderly men, some of whom suffer from dementia, whose history has traditionally gone unrecorded. CBC students also worked alongside MOMO curators to produce the exhibition based on the oral history interviews.
The Great Men by Great Boys exhibition will be at Fremantle City Library from June 19 until the end of July, before moving on to Cottesloe Library, Melville Library and the State Library of Western Australia.
This exhibition is sponsored by the City of Fremantle and Alzheimer’s Australia WA.
