New writers! There is just one short week left for you to enter your manuscripts into the 2016 City of Fremantle T.A.G. Hungerford Award. Entries for Western Australia’s longest running and most prestigious award for an unpublished manuscript are closing on Friday 18 March 2016. The Award offers a cash prize of $12,000 and a publishing contract.

Fremantle Press publisher Georgia Richter said the Hungerford has been running for over two decades as part of Fremantle Press’s mission to find and publish new and emerging Western Australian authors.

‘The Hungerford has already introduced the work of Brenda Walker, Gail Jones and Simone Lazaroo to readers. Now the judges are looking forward to discovering Western Australia’s next new writing talent,’ said Richter.

Details and entry forms are available here.
