Happy 100th birthday, Roald Dahl!

Oh, books, what books they used to know,
Those children living long ago!
So please, oh please, we beg, we pray,
Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install
A lovely bookshelf on the wall.

– Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

13th of September 2016 would have been Roald Dahl‘s 100th birthday. Happy birthday Roald!

Growing up you might have been introduced to the worlds of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach, got a little scared of The Twits and learnt more about Dahl himself through his Boy biographies. Roald Dahl loved to write suspenseful, surprising stories too, as collected in Someone Like You and Completely Unexpected Tales.

Reaquaint yourself with the classics and introduce the younger ones in your life to the fun of Roald Dahl!
