About Kris Bizzaca

Kris Bizzaca, Western Australian consultant historian since 1998, completed her Master’s thesis on the early development of Fremantle’s heritage movement.  Her history and heritage projects have included the steering committee for Fighting For Fremantle: The Fremantle Society story, City of Fremantle representative on the Library Board of Western Australia and Chair of a multi-million dollar project to digitise the J.S. Battye Library’s taped oral histories.

In 2015 Kris completed a significance assessment for the Deck Chair Theatre archives.  Learn about Deck Chair and its history as she shares her investigations.

After 30 remarkable years as Fremantle’s premier theatre company and producing over 100 works for local, national and international audiences, the multi-award winning Deckchair Theatre brought down the curtain for the last time in 2012.
